TOGETHERNESS IN YOUTH: A fundamental factor in our success
About this event: Global Young Greens launch

Coming together as the youth is one of the best steps to tackle the issues that affect our future. It is upon ourselves, if indeed we need to be heard and seen as serious group who can be entrusted with leadership, to show that indeed we are fit and up to the task.

This calls for a total overhaul of our strategies as the youth. The launching of the Global Young Greens is such one strategies that we should embrace. What I have come to realize in my experience as event organizer in many occasion in my college is that you can start from nothing to go a head and achieve a great thing in your plans. What is required is just simply confidence in yourself and those who are ready to support you. Personally I have had to act with my own resources to ensure successful completion of many events. The good thing is that at the end of the day, one relaxes quite sure that he/she has made a difference in the world. As the saying goes, “think globally and act locally” we as the youth should look for ways in which we can make an impact on global issues.

Some once said to me when I was organizing for a tree planting event some time this year to commemorate the world environment day, “…why do you organize this event and you know that we don’t have enough members in the club to ensure a successful tree planting?....” my answer was simple, “… the two of us can do it. We don’t need a crowed to feel secure. Let others join us on the way by first showing them what we can do the two of us, and indeed we eventually got a bus load of students who joined us to the tree planting event.” What does this show us, we do not have to be four people or more to have a successful Global Young Greens meeting or even to conduct business to bring change; it takes a speck of salt to build a mountain.

So my call to everybody is that lets join hands however few we may be and get to change our environment and the world. I am sure we shall never sink when we are together but will always float like the water lilies and the Nile cabbages displaying our evergreen colors for the world to see.

Cheers comrades!

Your eloquent statement/vision
Thank you for such a clear and dynamic expression of what is possible with cooperation.

You are stating that if you believe in what causes you to act, then numbers are not important, but the action is.

Since it is possible to become involved with A CELEBRATION OF ONENESS without attending, please review this information and consider submitting your response to the worldwide call for action:
http://abc4all.tigblog.org/post/67007

Further, should you review our project and decide that we might work together, it would be a pleasure to do so.
